Hey Brian! I recently discovered your podcasts and love them! A question: I really like what you’ve said about consistency and how working on something like shoulders consistently even for a week can help–it seems like great advice. I have been trying to work on lotus so I can do arm balances/inversion variations with lotus legs (like crane with lotus legs, mayurasana with lotus legs, tripod headstand with lotus legs, etc). It’s just NOT happening. I have been practicing sitting in firelog pose each day for as long as I can stand, and sitting in baddha konasana, but it seems like nothing is changing even with this daily work. Do you have any advice about how I could break the steps for lotus down into smaller things to work on consistently? Or, other poses other than those two that might help me get unstuck here? I can get into half lotus but it’s uncomfortable for my knees/ankles after a little time, so I’m pretty sure it’s a hip issue…
Thanks for any advice! And for all of the great articles you’ve posted here.
